State Licensing Center Receives Industry Recognition for New Web Site, Brochure  Thursday, October 04, 2007
Connecticut’s Licensing Info Center (CLIC) received a “Superior” award from the Northeastern Economic Developers Association (NEDA) for the update of CT-CLIC.com, which was recently launched with a new design and reorganized license and information database. The Center also received a “Merit” score for its accompanying marketing brochure.

State Business Response Center / Licensing Center Wins National Award  Friday, May 18, 2007
Connecticut's Business Response Center (BRC) and Smart Start/the Connecticut Licensing Info Center (CLIC) have been recognized as national leaders for their business assistance efforts with a Government Customer Support Overall Excellence Award, beating out the FBI National Instant Criminal Background Check System Contact Center and the IRS Employee Resource Center.

The Connecticut Licensing Info Center and Smart Start partner with the Business Advocate whose mission is to serve as a clearing house for all businesses regarding public and private programs available to assist business. It also is to reach out to small and micro businesses that need help getting through the bureaucracy to assist them in navigating the variety of state regulations and programs that apply to business.
