What Is Smart Start?

Connecticut is dedicated to improving its business climate by simplifying the licensing and registration process for new, expanding and relocating businesses.  Smart Start, the business assistance service of the Connecticut Licensing Info Center, is a full-service program designed to simplify the process for bringing a business into full compliance with Connecticut laws.  Free personalized assistance is available through Smart Start to guide businesses through the licensing and registration process.  Smart Start's services are free, but agency fees still apply.
